We are excited to continue our provision of the Families First project in Newport, funded through the Families First Preventative Funding from Newport Council. This service provides support to children, young people and their families either living within poverty, or at risk of living in poverty, to improve their health, safety and well-being, to reduce family dependency on specialist service interventions and to remove barriers that promote inequality.
Within this role, you will use the five ways to wellbeing and resilience framework to provide, family support, group work, self-management courses and awareness raising activities to improve mental wellbeing, resilience and parenting for children, young people, and their families, supporting them to develop, acquire and use skills and resources to make positive changes to achieve better outcomes.
Hours: 37 Hours a week
Contract: Maternity Cover- Fixed Term to 31st March 2025 (continuation subject to funding)
